Daily Activities

Children arrive excited at the prospect of the day ahead and of playing with their friends.

Breakfast is offered to the younger children upstairs before they begin the adventures of nursery life. There are fun, colorful and interesting activities on offer for the children with plenty of opportunities to make a mess during messy play, explore a variety of materials in the garden and plenty of soft, comforting areas to relax after a busy activity. Lunch is served at 11:30am and a light tea at 4:00pm. Every child has a nap time as and when needed based on their own routine.

The children downstairs are offered a variety of activities based on their developmental needs. In accordance with the foundation phase, the whole nursery is open including the garden to give children the freedom to choose what activity they would like to do. The garden is an extension of the nursery and is used throughout the day in all weathers; this will often result in muddy children!!! The aunties hold a circle time with the children at 9:00am and 11:30am where the children can say hello to their friends, chat and discuss the day ahead or even have a story or a sing song. At 9:45am the children have a snack of toast, crumpets or some fruit, at 12:00 lunch is served and a light tea at 4-4:30pm. The younger children are more than welcome to have a nap yn the afternoon, nap time is between 1:00-2:00pm.

Here in Si-lwli we do conduct outings and trips for the children so that the children can enjoy going to places like the library and the park the farm and the theatre.

The aim of the day is to have FUN, FUN and more FUN!!!
