Staff

The proprietor works closely with the Managers and a team of dedicated carers trained at providing your child with the highest standard of care and education. The children refer to the staff as Aunty, which emphasises our homely and friendly environment. We pride ourselveson the ability to talk and listen to the children whilst providing them with challenging discussions and play experiences.

We recruit staffs of the highest calibre who are Welsh speakers from all corners of Wales, this allows for diversity in culture and values.We also recruit staffs who offer talents in areas such as music,sports and art.

All our staff complete a CRB Disclosure and are not left to work with the cgildren independently until a check is compleated. All CRB checks are also renewed evry three years.

All team leaders are qualified in Childcare and Education at level 3, and are supported by Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants. All full time staff hold a first aid certificate and many hold the food handling certificate. Recruiting and supporting trainee nursery nurses allows the nursery to maintain vigilant on new legislation and research. Students and volunteers also convey new and stimulating ideas to the team.

Within our environment, we recognise our role as the children’s friend, helper, role model, and advocator as imperative, and shall always endeavour to maintainthe highest quality of care forthe children.

We are pro-active in supporting the professional development of the staff by encouraging continuous training opportunities and by initiating in-house Staff Training Days, we are closed three times a year to allow for these training days.

The adult to child ratio we adhere to at both nurseries are as follows:

__6 months – 2 years one member of staff to 3 children
__2 years – 3 years one member of staff to 4 children
__3 years – 5 years one member of staff to 8 children
